TORONTO “ROMANTIC ROCKERS” LES SIX TO DEBUT CD ON VALENTINES DAY

With record labels gearing up to release ballad-filled compilation CD's in anticipation of Valentines Day, Toronto pop quartet, Les Six, is set to debut a release of a slightly different nature. February 14th is the official street date for the bands debut album, Clean Kills and Other Trophies, which is being released by Addictive Records / Maple Music / Universal. The irony of a Valentines Day release is not lost on the band, who despite often being described as "romantic rock", admit to having a definite darker side. To celebrate the occasion, Les Six is hosting a CD release party on Saturday, February 11th at the Bovine Sex Club. The night will feature an opening set from Toronto "push button rockers" Il Attire, guest DJ's throughout the evening and a live performance of tracks off the album.

Clean Kills and Other Trophies features 10 tracks of sophisticated, darker-edged pop and a bonus remix by famed UK production team, Black Smoke Organization (Radiohead, The Dandy Warhols, The(International) Noise Conspiracy) which comprises members of the KLF and 808 State. The CD was recorded at Signal 2 Noise Studios in Toronto and features production by Rob Sanzo (Sum 41, Controller.Controller). Their first single "Died For A Day" has begun charting on campus radio across the country and a video is in the works.

Although this CD is Les Six's first, the members of the band are not strangers to the music industry. Their current lineup contains members who were previously involved with The Undercovers, The Stills and Tuuli as well as various other side and solo projects. This past experience has given the band a maturity that many of its contemporaries lack; a fact which has helped the band gain acclaim. Having received positive reviews in NOW Magazine and Chartattack and having been declared "Ones to Watch" by Much Music at last year's CMW Festival, Les Six is hopeful that it will find an audience that is ready to embrace its music.

Look for Clean Kills and Other Trophies to hit stores on Valentines Day 2006 or experience the album in person at their CD release party Saturday, February 11th @ The Bovine or at other Ontario and Quebec dates still TBC.
